IT WAS party time at the opening of larger and newly refurbished offices for Solstad Offshore (UK) at Salvesen Tower, Aberdeen.
General manager Graham Dale welcomed suppliers, customers and friends, including representatives from its Norwegian parent company, Solstad ASA.
The UK division has operated out of Aberdeen since 1999 and, over the years, both its fleet of ships and support personnel have increased.
Twelve ships are now operated out of the Aberdeen office, and worldwide, the Solstad Group has a fleet of 46 ships, including new-builds.
It employs about 1,000 people, of whom 730 are at sea.
