SUBSEA 7, the oil and gas subsea engineering and construction company, said yesterday its i-Tech division, whose global management team are based at Westhill, near Aberdeen, had won a contract worth more than £12million from Tullow Ghana.
The contract, for an initial five years with two one-year options to extend, is for the provision of remotely-operated vehicle (ROV) services to support production from the Jubilee field offshore Ghana. Offshore works are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of next year and the i-Tech project will be managed from Westhill.
I-Tech has around 70 of its 650 personnel globally based at Westhill, and has more than 80 ROVs.
Bowleven, the Africa- focused oil and gas company, said yesterday it had agreed a farm-out deal on its Etinde permit offshore Cameroon with Vitol E&P. The transaction involves the acquisition by Vitol of an initial 25% interest in Etinde, in return for funding a £60million work programme.
