Ferguson Norge, part of Aberdeenshire-based Ferguson Group, has reported record levels of business in 2007, with a strong performance predicted for 2008.
Contracts with a combined value of several million pounds were secured by the Tananger-based division last year.
Ferguson Norge is exhibiting at ONS and hoping to generate further valuable connections as a result.
It has expanded its share of the offshore container business in the sector over three years, increasing the number of units available, building its customer base by retaining existing clients and winning new ones, plus investing in new facilities.
Morten Evan Smith, country manager for Ferguson Norge, said: “It is becoming easier for new oil and gas companies to get started in Norway, which is good news for the service sector. We have seen growth in the subsea and drilling sectors with new rigs on their way to Norway this year and next generating more work for us.
“Decommissioning is also an emerging market for us and our priorities for the next couple of years are to make the most of opportunities, maintain our excellent safety record and continue to supply reliable products of the highest . . . standard to ensure customer satisfaction.”
Earlier this year, Inverurie-based Ferguson Group – which employs more than 130 people worldwide through its divisions serving the offshore container-rental and accommodation-module markets – reported record results and announced plans to invest £60million in its businesses over three years.
