US helicopter operator Bristow, which employs around 900 people in the UK, has named a new chief executive.
Don Miller has taken over the top job following the retirement of Jonathan Baliff yesterday.
Mr Miller has previously served as the company’s senior vice president and chief financial officer, along with a string of other leadership roles since joining the company in 2010.
His appointment comes as the helicopter operator works through recent challenges including “weaknesses” found in its financial reporting.
Mr Miller said: “Bristow serves a critical role in the oil and gas and search and rescue industries and beyond, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to lead the company through one of the most dynamic markets in recent history.
“Bristow has the best employees in the world, with an unwavering commitment to safety and our clients. I’m confident we will continue to provide unparalleled service as we work through our challenges and become an even better long-term partner to our clients.”
Brian Allman, the firm’s former chief accounting officer, has also been promoted as CFO and senior vice president to replace Mr Miller.
