Aberdeenshire companies Cable Solutions Worldwide (CSW) and ESWL have relocated to new premises in Inverurie in a move supported by a £565,000 funding package from Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).
The two energy service firms are now headquartered at Blackhall Industrial Estate.
They currently employ a total of 24 people, having recently taken on five new recruits, with the two firms each expecting to added a further two to their workforces following their relocation.
CSW specialises in design, manufacturing, supply and project management services for the oil and gas, subsea, shipbuilding and renewable energy industries. ESWL is a procurement company.
ESWL director Iain Dougary said: “Our new Inverurie premises will allow us to strengthen our existing team by hiring new team members in our sales and engineering workshop.”
CSW director Colin Fraser added: “We’ve come through a relatively turbulent period within the subsea and oil and gas sectors and are now looking to expand into more robust markets.
“The purpose-built facility will allow us to increase the cable assembly process, provide more diverse products, stock more of our customers’ favourites and provide jobs to the local economy.”
RBS relationship manager Martin Ramsay said: “The growth plans of both Cable Solutions and ESWL are a prime example of confidence returning to the oil and gas sector within Scotland, benefitting the local economy greatly.”
