THE organisers of an award ceremony in Aberdeen recognising success in the energy industry said yesterday that a new renewables category had already attracted a high level of interest.
The Offshore Achievement Awards were previously organised by Scottish Enterprise, but are now arranged by the Aberdeen section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and include a section for green-energy companies.
SPE chairman Masud Javaid said an impressive number of entries had already been received. The deadline for nominations for all categories is Monday , while the presentation ceremony is on Thursday, March 15, in the Ardoe House Hotel, near Aberdeen.
