REPRESENTATIVES of the Chinese oil and gas industry have been in Aberdeen to visit well-intervention technology firm Wireline Engineering.
More than 20 delegates toured the company’s workshop this week after visiting the Wireline stand at the Offshore Europe conference in Aberdeen last month.
The group, which included engineers and economists from China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation (Sinopec), also had a demonstration of Wireline’s Advanced Kickover tool, which is designed to lower intervention costs.
Richard Jackson, sales manager for Wireline’s Asia and Australia division, said: The technology appealed to the group due to their engineering backgrounds and, with Sinopec being the largest energy organisation in China, it was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our innovations. The visit was just one outcome from our successful week during Offshore Europe and highlights the interest and opportunities globally for our tools and technology.”
Wireline employs 50 people worldwide at its Blackburn headquarters and offices in the Americas, Middle East and the Far East.
