GLOBAL onshore and offshore catering and hotel service company Trinity International has secured two major new deals with long-standing clients Stena Drilling and Bluewater in the North Sea.
Aberdeen-based Trinity will employ an additional 40 staff to service the deals, which are worth a combined £3million in the first year.
The extra posts will take the company’s staffing to 215.
The firm is to provide catering and housekeeping services aboard the Stena Carron, the second of four ultra-deepwater drillships built for Stena Drilling. She will be used in UK waters on contract to Chevron.
Aboard Bluewater’s Aoka Mizu floating production vessel, Trinity has provided a manager, chef and temporary crew for the initial journey from her construction port to Rotterdam, where the full-time permanent crew will come aboard.
The Aoka Mizu is destined for the North Sea on a five-year contract with Nexen on the Ettrick Field in the outer Moray Firth.
Trinity chief executive Stuart MacBride said: “These brand-new vessels are integral to the future of exploration and production work in the North Sea and we are delighted to form an integral part of the team which delivers them to their worksites and keeps them best in class.
“We have been working with Stena since 1991 and Bluewater since 1995, and these established working relationships help to ensure an easy transition to a new vessel for the clients and our own staff.”
In addition to providing hotel services to the vessels, Trinity provided full design and outfitting support to their owners and builders throughout construction and fit-out, as housekeeping and galley services were installed and commissioned.
Trinity has twice been a winner of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the international trade category.
