ESS Support Services Worldwide announced two senior appointments yesterday.
Alain Morize has been named as managing director and John Wigglesworth becomes business-development director.
ESS is an Aberdeen-based provider of catering, hotelkeeping and facility-management services offshore.
It is part of foodservice company Compass Group and its workforce includes 1,500 offshore in the UK and worldwide managed through the Granite City office.
Mr Morize has 15 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, latterly as head of ESS’s south-east Asian operations. Mr Wigglesworth, with 11 years in the oil and gas and support-service sectors, was previously with Capita Group.
Mr Morize and Mr Wigglesworth replace Peter Bruce and Colin Henry, who left ESS last year.
Mr Bruce is now managing director of Aberdeen-based contract caterer Entier, while Mr Henry is its business- development director.
Commenting on his new role, Mr Morize said: “The business will focus on improving our local services, strengthened by our global framework and innovation within Compass Group.
“This year will bring a focus on supply-chain costs and operational improvement to bring some real efficiencies to support our customers.”
