HALLIN Marine, the AIM-listed subsea service provider to the oil and gas industry, said yesterday it had formed a new robotics company and expanded the boards of its two main operating divisions in Aberdeen and Singapore.
It said it had established Hallin Robotics as a wholly owned subsidiary based at Malton, in Yorkshire, and reporting to Mike Arnold, the head of the group’s Aberdeen-based west division.
The new company will aim to exploit decommissioning opportunities for both the nuclear and offshore industry and build on the group’s contracts using its robotics expertise in the design of parts for remotely operated subsea vehicles.
Hallin has also strengthened the boards of its two main operating divisions with promotions to director level. Its Singapore-based east arm has appointed Rik Zwinkels as project director and Ian Huggins as business-development director.
The company’s west division has appointed Mark Wood as operations director and Mark Corney as finance director and they will form a three-strong board along with Mr Arnold.
