Europe’s largest subsea event, Subsea 2012, will feature a line-up of international delegates when it opens its doors on Wednesday, February 8, at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.
Subsea UK’s annual conference and exhibition has attracted leading industry figures from Russia, Ghana, Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, China, and Vietnam who will meet British companies and exhibitors at the two-day gathering.
The international delegation will participate in a programme of meetings with operators and exhibitors as well as attend the Subsea Business Awards ceremony.
Subsea UK chief executive Neil Gordon said: “A recognised world-leader in the subsea industry, the UK market output is estimated at £18.9billion – commanding around a third of global market-share.
“With an increase in global market share projected for the next few years, there is a wealth of exciting overseas opportunities for UK companies. With support from UKTI (UK Trade and Investment), we have attracted an impressive array of multi-national and indigenous oil and gas companies from around the world aim to meet UK companies at Subsea 2012 and facilitate new export opportunities for our members.”
He added: “As the subsea industry continues to be at the forefront of new field development in new frontiers, going deeper and further than ever before, it is vital that we continue to engage with global markets and exploit the opportunities available.”
Subsea 2012 is expected to attract more than 2,500 visitors during the two days.
The awards dinner on the Wednesday is expected to have 750-plus people in attendance.
Entrance to the exhibition is free.
