Oil service company TAM International North Sea officially opened its new £1.8million Aberdeen base yesterday.
The firm is a subsidiary of TAM International, a Houston-based company that provides inflatable and swellable packers and downhole products and services. The expansion of the Aberdeen operation is expected to lead to more people being added to the 35-strong workforce.
Steven Scott, vice-president of operations for Europe, Africa and Middle East, said: “This is an exciting time for the team here at TAM and this important investment in Aberdeen is part of our wider global strategy.
“We have recently seen particularly significant growth in Norway, west Africa and Russia and we see Aberdeen as vital for the development of our business in those key regions.”
