Oil and Gas UK and Step Change in Safety are seeking entries for the 2011 safety awards, which acknowledge exceptional contributions to safety.
Winners will be announced at the awards lunch in the Ardoe House Hotel, at Blairs near Aberdeen, on Wednesday, April 20.
Awards will be presented in the categories of safety leadership; safety representative; preventative safety action; most promising individual and innovation in safety (company award).
A special award will also be presented for services to safety, chosen by joint Step Change chairmen John Forrest and Gordon Ballard.
Robert Paterson, health, safety and employment issues director with OGUK, said: “These awards pay tribute to the outstanding individuals and companies which have shown initiative, dedication and enthusiasm for creating safe working cultures. Last year’s awards were an overwhelming success and it’s encouraging to see the industry and the workforce gather to share and celebrate great achievements in making workplaces safer.”
