NORTH-EAST firm Aker Qserv has been presented with a British Safety Council sword of honour.
Managing director Tommy Dreelan said: “We’re extremely proud of our safety standards and we feel honoured to have been recognised in this way.”
The company’s health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) manager Alistair Cameron said: “We all firmly believe the company has the right tools, procedures and protocols in place to ensure we can look forward to an extremely safe working future.
“It is of the utmost importance not to become complacent and we will remain focused on continuing our high standards in 2011 and ongoing. ”
Portlethen-based Aker Qserv was one of only 38 organisations worldwide presented with a sword of honour, said to be widely recognised as the pinnacle of safety achievement.
