A SMALL Aberdeen-based oil tool specialist has won a £3.7million contract, its biggest to date.
Phuel Oil Tools will, through Norwegian partner Habu Services, supply pressure-control equipment to Aker Solutions. The three-year deal, thought to be one of the largest of its type for the Norwegian sector, covers equipment, training and maintenance.
Phuel was set up in 2005 by directors/owners Colin McCracken and Mark McCorry. Habu is also a shareholder.
Mr McCracken said: “We are greatly looking forward to working with Aker Solutions. This is a tremendous reward for the all the work and effort put in, not only Phuel but also by our suppliers who have supported us throughout.”
Phuel had turnover of just under £1million last year and this is projected to reach £4million by 2010.
It has five staff at its Bridge of Don site, but expects to add at least a further two people over the next year.
