ABERDEEN-BASED Hydrasun has received a health and safety accreditation.
The global provider of hoses, fittings and process control instrumentation services has been awarded BS OHSAS 18001:2007 certification for occupational health and safety by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance.
Bob McAlpine, chief operating officer at Hydrasun, said: “We are immensely proud of the team’s involvement and all their hard work throughout the rigorous audit process. Health and safety in the workplace is a top priority for Hydrasun and we are committed to implementing formal procedures that protect the well being of our personnel in their working environment.
“Hydrasun has an ambition to set the standard within the industry and we believe that external approvals are a key indicator of this progress.
“With offshore and industrial safety still a major area of concern, this prestigious certification recognises the continuing efforts of Hydrasun to set the highest health and safety standards across the industry.”
Hydrasun, which employs 450 people worldwide, was set up in the UK in 1976.
