LOC Group has announced the appointment of a new chief executive.
RV Ahilan, who previously held the role of joint chief executive at the organisation, has been drafted in to the top job to lead the development of the marine and engineering consulting firm’s growth.
The company works within the oil and gas, renewables and subsea sectors.
Mr Ahilan previously shared the role of joint CEO with Jerome Rutler, who will take up the position of deputy chief executive officer.
Mr Rutler will also oversee Operations and Mergers & Acquisitions at LOC.
Mr Ahilan served as executive vice president of the renewables advisory division at DNV GL, president of GL Garrad Hassan and managing director of GL Noble Denton in Americas and Europe before he joined LOC Group in February 2016.
Ian Cummins will become the head of LOC’s London business, in addition to leading its oil and gas business.
Andrew Squire will head LOC’s shipping business and Ahilan will continue to lead LOC Group’s renewables business activities.
Jake Anderson will lead the development and growth of design and consulting engineering across the Group companies including its recent acquisition, Innosea.
Mr Ahilan said: “I am really excited to take the helm today at an exciting time for LOC Group and the sectors in which we operate, as we look to broaden our services offering and geographical presence, make acquisitions to build on our strong international platform and continue to deliver the best possible service to our clients.”
