ENERGY industry body Oil and Gas UK (OGUK) said yesterday it expected places at an annual event in the north-east to be in high demand.
Booking has opened for the 13th Pilot Share Fair, in the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on Wednesday, November 2.
The event gives small and medium supply-chain companies advance information about upcoming drilling programmes, technology requirements, integrity projects and maintenance plans which might offer them contract opportunities.
At least 14 operators and contractors will be giving presentations on future work, including Aker Solutions, BP, EnQuest, TAQA Bratani and Offshore Group Newcastle (OGN).
Russell Harper, business-development manager at OGN, said: “OGN is delighted to be presenting at the Pilot Share Fair. This excellent forum for information sharing and networking has truly proved its worth over the years.
“As a main contractor, OGN can engage with supply-chain and client representatives at one single venue in one single day; this is the value to us.”
Last year’s event welcomed more than 1,000 delegates and 20 companies offered 160 presentations throughout the day. The fair set new records for the event, with some 300 more people attending than the previous year.
