Three oil and gas bosses have appeared in a list ranking the top chief executives in world business.
The list, compiled by business magazine CEOWorld, includes bosses from Shell, BP, Saudi Aramco, Chevron and ExxonMobile.
Shell’s chief executive Ben Van Beurden was ranked number two on the list, with Amin H. Nasser (Saudi Aramco) and Bob Dudley ranking fourth and fifth, respectively.
Darren Woods of ExxonMobile is ranked sixth and Chevron boss Michael K. Wirth was twentieth.
The list ranked 121 of the top CEO’s in the world.
The top bosses were assessed from a list of 1,200 chief executives across 96 countries and a number of industries.
The best CEO of 2019 was named as C. Douglas Millon, boss of retail giant Walmart.
CEOWorld said the list was assessed on the financial returns for the CEO’s tenure, making up 60% of the final ranking.
A firm’s track record on environmental, governance, and social issues was also considered, alongside market shares, change of market capitalization, and brand’s newsworthiness and impact.
