Energy Voice has strengthened its editorial team with the appointment of a leading analyst who specialises in Africa and LNG.
The appointment is the latest step in Energy Voice’s ambitious plans to expand its coverage in different regions.
New recruit Ed Reed, who is based in London, boasts more than 15 years of experience in the oil and gas sector.
Ed joins Energy Voice’s highly-regarded team from NewsBase, where he led the popular AfrOil and Global LNG reports.
He also led specially commissioned research projects following trends in the sector, including on the future of gas, Africa power and Angola.
Ed said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Energy Voice team at this exciting time. I’m looking forward to discussing my plans for our African coverage at Offshore Europe next week.”
“Times, and needs, are changing in the industry. Prices and politics have always been factors to watch but there’s a growing awareness of a need to control greenhouse gas emissions.”
Ryan Stevenson, head of Energy Voice, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Ed to the Energy Voice team. Having such an experienced editor in London is a real win for us and builds on our recent expansion in Edinburgh and imminent plans to establish a foothold in Asia.
“Ed’s expertise in African energy and the international natural gas market signals our intent to become the number one in global energy insight.”
