AGR Field Operations’ Asia-Pacific unit has signed a three-year contract with Australian Worldwide Exploration (AWE) for operation and maintenance of its Perth Basin assets in Western Australia. Norwegian-owned AGR, which has a major Aberdeen presence, says the contract has provision for two successive two-year extensions.
The assets comprise two oilfields and three gas fields, along with their associated production infrastructure. The contract will add 37 personnel to AGR’s workforce in Western Australia, with annual revenues of about $4.6million (US) over the next three years.
AGR has, since 2006, managed the adjacent Cliff Head Field in which AWE is a partner with operator Roc Oil.
