A WORLDWIDE supplier of specialist offshore cargo-carrying units, Aberdeen-based Swire Oilfield Services, has announced the acquisition of another Australian company.
It has paid an undisclosed sum for Weir OCI, creating the largest regional supplier of offshore cargo-carrying units in the Australian and Asian area. Weir OCI is Swire’s second Australian acquisition in the past year, and takes the firm’s investment in the region to more than £15million.
In August last year, Swire bought Perth-based Maritime Products and Services.
The three companies together will now trade as Swire Oilfield Services pty and have a fleet of more than 1,800 units.
