Drilling has begun on Warwick West, the third in a three well campaign west of Shetland for Hurricane Energy and partner Spirit Energy.
The well was spudded this morning by the Transocean Leader rig.
The first well in the campaign targeted Warwick Deep, which was non-commercial, but the second, Lincoln Crestal, is a candidate to be tied back to Hurricane’s Aoka Mizu FPSO next year.
Hurricane has a 50% interest in the Greater Warwick Area following Spirit Energy’s farm-in to the P1368 South and P2294 licences in September 2018.
