Aberdeen energy service company RBG has hailed its “outstanding” safety performance.
The firm, which provides assessment, inspection and repair services to the global energy industry, said it had significantly reduced its lost time incident frequency rate for the second year running. RBG said that, since launching its award-winning REACH initiative in December 2009, the company had demonstrated continual improvement in its safety performance.
The positive impact of REACH on RBG’s safety performance has led to parent Stork Technical Services adopting the initiative, which will be rolled out across its global operations in the UK, central Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Americas and Middle East. Doug Meikle, chief executive for Stork Technical Services, said: “I would like to congratulate RBG on another excellent safety achievement. REACH has clearly had a very positive effect on the company’s safety performance and this was a significant factor in our decision to adopt the initiative across Stork Technical Services.”
RBG employs more than 4,500 people globally, while Stork has a total of 14,500 worldwide.
