PLEXUS Holdings, the Aberdeen-based oil and gas engineering service business, said yesterday it had secured a contract extension worth about £1.6million from BP Egypt.
The deal, for the supply of its proprietary POS-GRIP wellhead systems, plus service and support, for gas exploration in the Nile Delta, is expected to boost revenue during the current financial year and into 2010.
Plexus first signed a wellhead rental contract with BP Egypt in 2006.
Ben van Bilderbeek, the north-east firm’s chief executive, said: “Our aim is to increase the awareness of our unique POS-GRIP technology within the international oil and gas community and eventually secure its position as the industry standard.”
