FAST GROWING Scottish firm Zenith Oilfield Technology has moved into new headquarters.
The Inverurie-based company, which operates in the artificial-lift sector, also reported 30% growth in 2009.
Turnover – which last year jumped to £14million from £11million in 2008 – is almost all from international operations.
The multimillion-pound new premises allow Zenith to bring its three operations under one roof, with space to accommodate further growth.
The new facility provides 13,750 square feet of office and workshop space, including a test pit, laboratory, washbay and external storage. Zenith, which was formed in 2004, has 70 staff.
Last summer, it was presented with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for outstanding achievement in international trade.
Managing director Greg Davie said yesterday: “Our focus on international markets has resulted in significant growth, despite the worldwide economic downturn.
“We now have operations in 12 overseas locations across the Middle East, Far East and South America.
“A large part of our success is down to a major investment in research and development (R&D) and a strong global sales team.”
Zenith invested £1.1million last year in R&D and is expected to increase this in 2010.
