SCOTTISH Enterprise chief executive Lena Wilson yesterday visited Aberdeenshire firm NCS Survey.
She heard about the company’s future plans and the impact that Scottish Enterprise’s support has had on its growth and development.
The Westhill company provides offshore survey services to the offshore construction and positioning markets worldwide basis. Its key focus is in the oil and gas, offshore renewables, hydrography, port and harbours and telecommunications sectors.
During her visit she met Andy Gray, the firm’s owner and managing director. He said: “Scottish Enterprise has been very proactive in working with us and its support has been integral to our success. We look forward to continuing our partnership and working with it in the future.”
The company employs 60 people and has experienced around 50% year-on-year growth since it was established in 2005 to a current turnover of £5million.
Ms Wilson also yesterday met Tom Smith, chairman of Aberdeen City and Shire Economic Future and managing director of oil and gas industry telecoms group Nessco.
Scottish Enterprise has supported Nessco Group on a number of activities such as internationalis- ation, business improve- ment, leadership and innovation, all of which have underpinned its growth. Nessco has more than 100 employees and a turnover of £20million.
