Oil and gas firm Dana Petroleum has said it is gearing itself up for a period of growth after appointing a string of new senior staff.
The firm, based in Aberdeen and acquired in a hostile takeover by the Korean National Oil Company (KNOC) just over a year ago, said it had recruited three new executive directors.
In total it has taken on more than 20 people across departments as it looks to grow its operations in the UK and internationally, the firm said.
It added it was looking to grow production and reserves in Europe, Africa and the Middle East by “becoming a partner of choice” in its chosen markets.
Announcing the new appointments, group chief executive Marcus Richards said: “This is a very exciting time for Dana.
“Our partnership with KNOC creates a unique opportunity to grow the business to become a leading international oil and gas company in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
“Building a strong and experienced team is central to achieving our ambition and these key appointments will further enhance Dana’s talented team. We expect to make further appointments in the coming months.”
The new senior appointments are:
Jill Reid, group general counsel and company secretary, joins from Shell UK, where she was senior legal counsel for deal delivery, strategy and portfolio management for eight years.
She was previously Shell’s Aberdeen legal manager and before that legal adviser at Chevron UK.
Stuart Payne, director of group human resource management, also joins from Shell, where he was vice-president of human resources for exploration and commercial, based in Houston.
He previously worked in human resources and talent management roles for both Shell and BT.
Andrew McCallum, director of group communications and external affairs, joins from London Gatwick Airport, where he spent three years as executive director of communications and external affairs.
Before that he was group head of corporate reputation at Centrica.
