Aberdeen energy services firm Spirotech has been given a new CEO and a new name after being acquired by an investor group.
New chief executive Neil Thomson led the acquisition of the Dyce-based bulk handling, fabrication and blast containment specialist for an undisclosed sum in partnership with Garrick Group.
As part the deal, Spirotech Aberdeen, launched in the city in 2017 as part of parent company Spirotech-SRD, will be renamed as Spiral Services.
It will continue operations with its current team of eight, including general manager Kris Hunter, with plans to expand to 16 next year.
Mr Thomson said: “I am delighted to have finalised the acquisition of Spirotech Aberdeen and look forward to the growth ahead for the new business Spiral Services.
“For the Garrick Group and I, it is a fantastic opportunity to work together again and utilise the expertise and industry knowledge we have gained over the past 28 years.”
The deal is the first co-investment by Garrick Group, set up last year as a vehicle to support growth for businesses in the energy sector.
Douglas Garrick, who co-founded TWMA will sit on the Board of the new business.

Spiral Services, formerly Spirotech Aberdeen, was launched in Aberdeen in 2017 as part of parent company Spirotech-SRD.
The firm specialises in the design, manufacture and testing of screw conveyors, pressure vessels, blast curtains and chemical holding tanks.
