OIL and Gas UK said yesterday that Robin Davies, Subsea 7’s global vice-president for business improvement, had been appointed as the industry association’s new contractor co-chairman.
He replaces Bob Keiller, chief executive of PSN, who has come to the end of the maximum two-year term for this post.
Gordon Ballard, chairman of Schlumberger Oilfield UK, has also been elected to the board as the new contractor co-vice-chairman.
He replaces Mike Bowyer, the former vice-president for the UK with Halliburton.
Malcolm Webb, Oil and Gas UK’s chief executive, said: “Robin and Gordon have been very active supporters of our industry and I am delighted that they have agreed to step up into these important roles. Oil and Gas UK is keen to make proper connections to all parts of our industry and these latest appointments reflect the breadth and strength of that engagement.”
OGUK also announced the rotation of three other board places.
Susan Elston, of Aramark; AMEC’s John Pearson and Paul Warwick, of ConocoPhillips UK are joining the board.
Standing down are Tom Smith, of Nessco, Mr Keiller and Roland Festor, of Total E&P UK.
