ENGINEERING service firm Wood Group Kenny said yesterday it had won a £5.1million contract from energy company Hess to deliver work in Australia.
Under the deal, WG Kenny will carry out the front-end engineering and design work for the subsea development of Equus, Hess’s first deepwater gas project off the coast of Western Australia.
The one-year contract will be overseen by WG Kenny’s office in Perth, Western Australia.
Steve Wayman, chief executive at Aberdeen-based Kenny, said Equus was a complex development, adding: “We have a team of some of the best subsea engineers in the business and look forward to working with Hess to devise fit-for-purpose subsea engineering solutions.”
