Italian oil and gas contractor Saipem has announced contract extensions totaling over £1 billion.
The agreements of around £1.3bn are for existing contracts in onshore drilling and offshore drilling.
The extension deal include 19 land-rigs located in Middle East and last between three up to ten years.
New contracts and extensions on other existing contracts have been agreed in Bolivia, Peru and Romania.
The contracts related to offshore drilling are in Norway and in Angola.
Stefano Cao, chief executive of Saipem, said: “The award of these contracts proves the solidity and reliability of the operational performance of our Drilling Divisions and further strengthens Saipem’s long-time presence in strategic areas of the world.”
