Norway’s largest financial service group DnB NOR is to set up an outlet of its international energy bank in Aberdeen.
The company already has clients in the Granite City and is looking to win additional business.
DnB NOR said that the move to open an office confirmed there was a good future for the North Sea oil business, despite Chancellor George Osborne’s recent surprise £10billion tax raid on producers.
Oil and gas banking expert Kendal Milne, who joined DnB NOR three years ago, is to head up the Aberdeen operation.
