ABERDEEN-BASED Electro-Flow Controls (EFC), was yesterday celebrating the best six months of new orders in its 22-year history.
Over the past four years, the designer and manufacturer of instrumentation, monitoring and control systems for the global oil and gas industry has driven annual growth of 40%. The firm has now said it is on track for another successful year, with £3.5million of new sales orders in the past six months.
Managing director John Wheeler said: “Our sales orders have exceeded our expectations and show that there is still a high level of investment going on in the oil and gas industry. Our sophisticated range of choke controls and well control systems meet the highest safety standards and have helped build EFC’s excellent reputation for providing tailored system solutions to the global oil and gas industry.
“We will continue to expand overseas, with 70% of our turnover from the export market, however, we were very careful to build a solid foundation in the UK from which to work and continue to see the North Sea as a major focus for us with an ever-growing demand for our services.”
EFC was set up by Mr Wheeler and employs 55 people at its bases in Aberdeen and Houston, Texas.
