A reception at Aberdeen University’s King’s College Conference Centre was held last week to launch the Aberdeen Centre for Research in Energy Economics and Finance.
The centre is a new initiative driven by the University of Aberdeen Business School and located within the College of Arts and Social Sciences.
Guest speakers during the evening were Professor Alex Kemp, who is the director of the new centre, and John Swinney, Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth in the Scottish Government.
About 150 guests – including figures from the oil&gas sector as well as members of university staff and MSc students – enjoyed a drinks reception following the speeches.
