ABERDEEN-BASED electrical-control specialist HiTrack said today it had won contracts worth a combined £500,000 in the past six months.
The Dyce firm, which designs and installs control systems and panels for sectors including oil and gas and waste management, added that it had been the strongest start to any financial year in its decade-long history.
HiTrack, which employs nine people, said it would take on more engineers if its success continued.
Managing director Willie Munro said the firm could win a further £500,000 of work before the year-end, which would be its best annual performance yet.
He added: “We had a tough year a couple of years ago but since then things have really taken off again and we are back on track.
“This year was supposed to be about consolidation but we have performed so much better than expected.
“If it continues like this, it would be great news for us.”
Mr Munro said HiTrack was involved in projects across the world and would have to recruit more people if demand continued to rise.
He added that the company relocated to the Kirkhill industrial estate last year after outgrowing premises at Bridge of Don and the move had allowed it to take on more projects.
