SUPPLY-CHAIN specialist 80:20 Procurement Services said yesterday it was time to push on again and develop the business, possibly through acquisition.
The Aberdeen company said it saw opportunities for organic growth via contract wins, adding: “We would not rule out the possibility of expanding 80:20 through the acquisition of a similar type of business.”
The comments came as 80:20 revealed it had recently secured three-year multimillion-pound deals with energy service firms Technip and BIS Salamis.
It is just a few weeks since East Tullos-based 80:20 agreed a contract, potentially worth £10million, with oil giant BP.
Tony Bannon, 80:20 director, said: “We’ve seen our customer portfolio grow in the past year and are confident of securing further contracts in the future.”
Fellow director Paul Doward said a 111% year-on-year rise in turnover gave the company further grounds for optimism, adding: “Our growth in the past two years has been fantastic. It’s now time to push on and develop the business.”
The company achieved record turnover of £3.8million during the 12 months to March 31, against £1.8million the year before.
