OIL and gas consultant Maxoil Solutions looks set for a busy 2010, with plans to grow its global presence significantly over the next 12 months.
The Aberdeen-based company provides process performance optimisation for oil and gas-industry clients, combining process-engineering and production-chemistry disciplines with a wide range of additional specialist areas of expertise.
Norwegian subsidiary Maxoil Norge, which opened an office in Bergen in 2008, is looking expand to Stavanger to support its growing operations and increase its market penetration in Scandinavia this year.
The firm, which also has an office in Houston – set up in 2005 in response to an increase in demand for work in the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska – intends to expand its global reach through establishing a presence in Perth, Australia and Malaysia, in an effort to capitalise on the growing Far Eastern and Australasian markets.
Maxoil has already secured an exclusive agency agreement in Malaysia with specialist oil and gas technical and engineering service provider Dialog Systems, which will see its full range of services offered in the major oil and gas hubs throughout the Far East.
Maxoil, which now employs 20 staff across the world, was set up in 2004 by Wally Georgie and Mel Dow.
It recorded turnover of more than £3million for its financial year to the end of March, 2009 and says it is on target to improve on results this year. Mr Georgie said: “This year is shaping up to be an exciting one as we look to build up our international presence as well as consolidating in Aberdeen, Bergen and Houston.”
