RBG, the Aberdeen-based provider of fabric maintenance, construction support and related services to the international oil, gas and petrochemical industries, has hailed its annual technology day event a great success, with the biggest turnout yet.
The event, held yesterday at its Pitmedden Road complex at Dyce and attended by more than 200 guests from oil operators and service companies, demonstrated more than 30 technologies, services and innovations on offer to the oil and gas industry.
RBG sales and marketing manager Jason Smith said: “With the number of mature installations in the North Sea, we are focused on working with operators to help extend the life span and performance of their assets.”
RBG has expanded its service range in recent years from traditional scaffolding, painting and blasting to include mechanical services, specialist cleaning, electrical, marine and access services such as rope access, tension netting and lightweight aluminium system scaffolding
The event was at a time when the oil and gas industry is preparing for summer maintenance programmes, an area where RBG is especially focused on adding value.
RBG chief executive Tadg Slattery said: “We are very pleased with the response to our annual technology event, which has generated a lot of interest and has given us a good platform on which to demonstrate our latest developments to a key audience.”
RBG employs more than 5,000 people globally, with bases in countries including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Italy, Qatar, UAE, Trinidad and Tobago and America.
