FINAL preparations are being made for the Offshore Europe oil show, which opens in Aberdeen tomorrow.
Tens of thousands of delegates from all corners of the planet are expected for the three-day event at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.
Just over 82,000 square feet of exhibition space has been sold, making it the largest show in the event’s history. There will be delegations from around the world, including Brazil, Nigeria, Kazakhstan and Malaysia.
Leading industry figures will debate and discuss key issues, while millions of pounds worth of business will be done in and around the show. This year’s event will feature more oil and gas operating companies than ever before, including majors such as Shell, BP, Petrobras, ExxonMobil and Chevron.
Exhibition director Elaine Hulse said: “We are looking forward to a vibrant and busy event at Offshore Europe, which is nearly 10% larger than in 2009.
In 2009 the show drew a total attendance of 48,565 – up 20.87% on the previous event.
