MERPRO Group, the Montrose-based oil and gas industry technology designer and manufacturer, has unveiled a string of new contract wins worth a total of more than £3million. The firm said the deals, with companies including BP, Apache, Expro, Nexen, SETE Energy and Egypt’s Agiba Petroleum Company, were the result of its global strategy.
Moves to expand the company’s international business have recently seen the appointment of Corin Main as managing director.
Bert Smith was both chairman and managing director but the roles have been split, with Mr Main now focusing on building on Merpro’s position as a key industry player.
Mr Smith said: “Worldwide markets are a constant challenge and in order to meet the growing needs of our clients it is vital that our operations develop in line with these requirements.”
Merpro, which also has offices in the US, Egypt and Singapore, expects to make a push into the Asia Pacific region as part of its expansion over the next two years.
