International oil and gas facility service provider Petrofac said yesterday it would continue to invest in its Aberdeen business, despite Chancellor George Osborne’s Budget tax raid on North Sea producers.
The group’s continued commitment to the area was stressed by chief executive Ayman Asfari at the opening of Petrofac Training Services’ (PTS) marine centre of excellence in the Granite City.
Petrofac recently relocated its freefall lifeboat capability from Dundee to Aberdeen.
The company said it had brought together all its marine training in one location to offer more efficient, flexible training to delegates.
