Oil and Gas UK and Step Change in Safety are calling for entries to the UK oil and gas industry’s first safety awards.
Robert Paterson, health, safety and employment issues director with trade organisation OGUK, said: “These awards are a fantastic opportunity for the workforce and companies to get recognition for outstanding safety behaviour.
“It is important that we share best-practice examples within the industry and there is no better way of doing this than giving best performers a platform to share their safety achievements with the wider industry.
“The awards ceremony provides an excellent framework for this.”
The categories are:
Award for Safety Leadership, sponsored by Chevron Upstream Europe.
