SUBSEA UK has announced the shortlist of finalists for the 2012 Subsea Business Awards.
The honours, now in their sixth year, recognise and celebrate innovation and excellence in the UK subsea industry, which employs around 50,000 people.
Winners will be announced at a dinner on Wednesday, February 8, held during Europe’s foremost event for the industry – Subsea 2012 – at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.
Subsea UK will also reveal at the awards ceremony the person to be honoured for their outstanding contribution to the subsea industry.
The dinner will also feature a keynote speech from Mark Gallagher, former marketing director of Jordan Grand Prix.

“The subsea sector has gone from strength to strength in the last year and these awards highlight the impressive talent and technology within the industry.
“The UK subsea sector prides itself on its cutting-edge, innovative approach, and I can think of no better way to kickstart another year of growth by recognising those who have shown innovation, success and ingenuity to meet the increasing challenges we face in extracting oil and gas reserves in more difficult locations.”
