ABERDEEN-BASED engineering firm PD&MS Energy said yesterday it would recruit up to 60 people to meet demand after winning a multimillion-pound contract.
PD&MS said it had signed a deal with Taqa Bratani to provide procurement, fabrication and construction services to the operator.
The firm, part of the Wilton Group, said the Taqa agreement and the prospect of further contract wins meant it would add to its 150-strong workforce.
Managing director Simon Rio said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this prestigious contract. This type of work is very much part of our plan to grow the business in 2012 and beyond.
“We will be looking to add 50 to 60 engineering personnel in the next year or so due to the increased demand for our services.”
