AN ABERDEEN-BASED oil and gas procurement service company is predicting a big jump in turnover this year.
G.O.T. (Gas and Oil Technology) said yesterday it enjoyed a successful final quarter to 2010, culminating in the award of three contracts with a combined value of more than £8million.
The deals are with Total E&P UK, Wood Group Engineering (North Sea) and Petrofac.
Managing director Warren Anderson was “thrilled” to have secured the three contracts, and predicted a positive 2011 for G.O.T. with turnover forecast to beat £20million, a rise of more than 20% on last year.
He said: “Total is an entirely new client for us and the Wood Group deal is our first purely ad-hoc purchasing contract, while we are pleased to be extending our existing relationship with Petrofac.
“The evidence from the final quarter of 2010 is that the industry is really beginning to pick up again and we are confident that 2011 is going to be a successful year for G.O.T.
“Over the next 12 months, we will look to further expand our operation in west Africa, through the work of our subsidiary G.O.T. Angola – which was established in January 2010 – and are also developing a permanent presence in Houston for the first time.”
G.O.T. was set up in the Granite City in 1992.
