ABERDEEN-BASED energy service company Senergy has set up a software division, which could lead to the creation of more than 10 posts in the north-east and globally.
Senergy Software will be based at Banchory.
The company said the venture had been launched as a result of significant business growth in its oil and gas division.
Senergy chief executive James McCallum said: “Our software business is a key element of our integrated service offering and, as a result of our ongoing expansion, it is a natural progression to establish a dedicated Senergy Software division.”
John Fraser, who is heading up the software division, said: “This is an exciting new phase for Senergy’s software business, which we anticipate will become a major contributor to the growth of Senergy worldwide.”
