GLOBAL Energy Group has seen massive expansion since being founded in 2005.
Organic growth and acquisitions have led to annual turnover increasing to almost £230million and the worldwide workforce rising to more than 3,800 people.
The company, which has head offices in Aberdeen and Inverness, employs 3,409 people directly in Scotland.
Including indirect employment, 5,136 depend on Global for jobs north of the border.
It is one of the largest fabricators in the UK by turnover and scale of facilities.
It also says it is the UK market leader for servicing mobile offshore drilling rigs.
The company and its executive chairman, Roy MacGregor, have picked up numerous awards along the way.
Mr MacGregor is the current Grampian entrepreneur of the year.
Just last month his firm won the chairman’s award for outstanding achievement from the Scottish Council for Development and Industry (SCDI).
Previous successes include Mr MacGregor being named a regional winner in the 2009 Ernst and Young Scotland entrepreneur of the year awards and landing two titles at last year’s Institute of Directors (Scotland) Awards.
Global also took the accolade for best international business at the 2010 SCDI Scotland’s International Awards.
