DOWNHOLE monitoring specialist Zenith Oilfield Technology is going from strength to strength by securing more contracts and seven new well trials.
The Inverurie-based company has gained a major contract for supply of its Z-Sight technology, following successful well trials in Kuwait, and to top this, it has secured a further seven Z-Sight trials with major operators in the Middle East and India.
As the Z-Sight technology takes off in these regions it is expected to add an additional £2.5million to Zenith’s turnover in the next two years. Last year the company turned over £14million.
Zenith, formed in 2004, designs, assembles and supports high-spec technology related to the gathering and analysis of downhole data and the design of completions equipment.
Its experts pioneered Z-Sight as a one-stop device for optimising and protecting artificially lifted wells.
Julian Cudmore, new technology manager at Zenith, said: “Our order books are filling up, and news that we have installations planned for six new wells in the Middle East with two operators, and a further trial in India is a fantastic opportunity for Zenith.
“In well lifting operations good information is vital to production optimisation and improving equipment runlife. Z-Sight provides an efficient management tool, in a one-look screen which provides real time recommendations on how best to operate the well to achieve optimum production.”
Z-Sight offers remote access and control through the web, giving operators complete control of their operations in an instant. They are immediately notified when a well shuts down and production is being lost.
With 70 staff operating out of 30 countries, the majority of Zenith’s workload comes from oil and gas operators and service companies working in the Middle and Far East.
