ABERDEEN-BASED marine energy developer Green Ocean Energy has been given £45,000 to design renewable technology which could power offshore oil and gas installations.
ITF – the industry technology facilitator for the international oil and gas industry – has awarded the grant to assess if Green Ocean’s Wave Treader could be used to provide electricity for platforms across the world.
The award is the first grant ITF has given to a renewable-energy venture.
